<p><strong>Olu Abayomi Sanya</strong> is the pioneer MD/CEO of Goldbanc Management Associates (GMA). Yomi obtained a B.Sc. in Finance and Banking from the University of Lagos, is a product of Stanford Business School, USA, and currently has over <strong>45 years</strong> of experience in assets management, investment banking and securities trading.</p>
<p>He started his career with Chase Merchant Bank (later Continental Merchant Bank) before moving to the United Kingdom, where he worked on primary market issues (IPOs) while studying to become a management accountant. He was Head of Capital Markets at Capital Bancorp Limited prior to his appointment as founding Managing Director of Crossworld Securities Limited, an investment banking firm in Nigeria.</p>
<p>As MD/CEO of GMA, Yomi has supervised several landmark transactions and <strong>pioneered the first cross-border listing between the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)</strong>. He also structured and raised capital for the <strong>first Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Africa</strong> — the Union Homes REIT, currently listed on the NGX. Through his expertise of the international financial market, alongside his global affiliates, he invested over <strong>US$1 Billion</strong> in Nigeria as capital for companies including Neimeth Pharmaceuticals, Mutual Benefit Insurance, and Sovereign Trust Insurance.</p>
<p>Yomi was on the Board of several companies including Africa Alliance Insurance and LASACO. He currently sits on the Board of GTI Assets Management Limited.</p>
<p>He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACIMA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCIS), and a Dealing Clerk of both the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) and the Lagos Commodity and Futures Exchange (LCFE).</p>
