<p><strong>Akeem Akinfenwa</strong> holds a B.Sc. in Finance and an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos.</p>
<p>Akeem comes from a multi-disciplinary management consulting background with experience spanning banking, research and consulting, training and capacity development, business development and strategy, as well as human resources. His competence lies in business planning and implementing changes to strategic business units to realise key strategic objectives.</p>
<p>He has served as Head of Operations of a community bank, Chief Operating Officer of an aviation consulting division, Head of Investment Projects & Economics/Specialised Consulting at Michael Stevens Consulting, and held business development roles at FITC Consulting. He was pioneer Group Head, Strategy, Performance Management & Product Development for <strong>Abbey Mortgage Bank PLC</strong>.</p>
<p>Notable achievements include structuring a 450-unit housing finance development transaction between Abbey and a staff cooperative society in Lagos; serving as project manager for processes that attracted foreign core investors and private equity firms to Abbey; and facilitating the bank's transition to a PLC and its subsequent listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2008.</p>
<p>He was team lead in the business re-development plan for Obudu Cattle Ranch, the resuscitation of Nigeria Airways' subsidiary SAHCOL, the post-merger performance management system development for NACRDB, and the pre-consolidation appraisal for the largest legacy bank of the Unity Bank PLC merger.</p>
<p>Akeem is a seasoned strategy consultant and facilitator for numerous blue-chip organisations and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School's AMP21 class.</p>
